Obituary of Gordon Francis McKey

McKEY, Gordon Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 26th at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Joan McKey (2006) and loving father of George (Faye), Fran, the late Guy (Kathy), Mary, Paul (Joan) and Teresa (Jim) Wilson. Much loved brother of Jack (Mary) McKey. Devoted grandfather of Tracey, Melissa, Michael , Patricia, Gordie Jo, Kimberley, Kathleen, Guy, Andrew, Jennifer, Maribeth, Shannon and Kate. Great grandfather of Kyle, Ethan and Jaden. Predeceased by his beloved sister Georgina Stewart. Gordon was an active member of the Ontario Guild of Piano Technicians Inc. as he was a professional craftsman tuning pianos for many years. In addition, he was very involved in the Game and Fish Protective Association, and spent his youthful years as a member of the Merchant Marines of Canada. In accordance to Gordon's wishes, cremation has taken place. Gordon's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, May 31st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm . A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 169 St. Paul Cres., St. Catharines on Thursday, June 1st at 2pm. Vigil prayers for the deceased at the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:30pm. Inurnment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the R.A.F.T. would be appreciated by the family.
