Obituary of Mignonette Mary Kretz

KRETZ MARY MIGNONETTE "Peanut" (nee: DeLuca) Passed away peacefully with her family members present on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 in her 90th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Walther Kretz, for 66 years. Wonderfull loving mother of Walter Kretz and Hanna Langer, Lana and Don Caskenette and Peter and Pat Kretz. Cherished by her grandchildren Brenda, Tracy, Mark, Natalie, the late Daniel, Alyson, Erin, Kelly and Andrew and her great grandchildren Gavin, Katie, Ryan, Abbey, Ellie and Cora. Mignonette is also survived by her sister Bernadette Neumann, her brothers and sisters in law, many nieces, nephews and friends. Mignonette was born in 1916 and raised in Port Dalhousie (Michigan side) and was well known for her kindness, sense of humour and outstanding fudge. Mrs. Kretz is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Saturday at 9am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 9:30am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 3:30pm. Special thanks go out to Dr. Gruber, Dr Hartman, Dr Giesbrecht, Sandra D'Allesandro, Para Med and CCAC staff for their dedication and support during mom's illness. Mom is the heart of our family, we will love her always and miss her greatly.
