Obituary of Adolf Gustav Wenckstern

Wenckstern, Adolf "Adi" Gustav Peacefully after a courageous battle on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS. Husband of the late Gisela for over 25 years and father of the late Michael (1979). Beloved and cherished husband of Christa for 26 years. Beloved father of Susanne and her husband Dr. Antoon Leenaars of Windsor. Loving step father of Sylvia Nawrot, and John Nawrot and Lee-Ann. Cherished and adored Opa of Lindsey, Heather, Kristen, Brandon, Nathan, Sydnie, Eric, Fallon and Emerson. Dear brother of Hans and Ursel Wenckstern, Karl-Heinz and Lore Wenckstern of Germany, Gert and Barbara Wenckstern. Uncle Adi will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Adi will also be missed by his special friends. Adolf worked as a Millwright at General Motors over 30 years and enjoyed his retirement since 1992. A member of Club Heidelberg, a Folk Dancer of Alpenrösel dance group for several years. Family will receive friends at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Memorial Remembrances can be made to St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS Oncology if so desired.
