Gord touched so many people in his life.
I loved him dearly.
I can't think of any other pilot I would rather work with other than my friend Gordo, I truly mean that.
Since Gord left us last week, I can't stop thinking of all the good times we spent together. I have been telling my boys all the fun we had and the practical jokes we played on each other, and on fellow colleague's. My boys have been laughing till it hurts with these stories. That was usual when being around Gord.
Everyone has great stories of how Gord touched us.
I can only imagine what the family must be going thru.
My heart and prayers go out to Lisa and family for your loss.
I love you Gord and I will miss you deeply

Here I am, just another long lost voice from the past ...... isn't it just amazing how we are all just an e-mail away and how these moments bring folk back together. Just goes to show we should spend a little more time on the *important* things in life.
To Gord's family I would like to send my heartfelt condolances. I remember Gord flying some of the first City Express Dash 7 services ever in September of 84. He had just come from Time Air if my memory serves me correctly. Gord Clarke and Earle Vance *the dynamic duo* and there was also *Rob* ? from Time Air ..... what memories. Great guy, fun and fury , top notch pilot ..... Gordie .... you have left a magnitude of fond memories amongst those who had the pleasure of knowing you.
Your family must be so proud

Dear Lisa and all of Gords family:
It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Gord. I met Gord at Worldways in 1990 but got to better know him better when we were on a 3 month contract in Abu Dhabi in 1991. Gord had a great sense of humour and really had a love of life. He loved his job and was always a professional with a great attitude. We spent a few nights " sipping " beer and talking the night away.
Our thoughts and prayers go to you and your family at this sad time.

Lisa and Family my condolences to you all in the passing of Gordon. No words can describe how sad we all are at the loss of Gord. Gord and I became friends the day we met in Manchester England he was brand new to Canada 3000. We traveled to many a city and country together over the years. He taught me to sail on the beloved Clova we spend endless hours at the marina telling stories and smoking cigars. We would golf with Graham as a young boy, have drinks in the pub with the boys or I would just sit in my favorite bar stool at the house as he teased me about something I had done. Despite our age difference he always treated me as an equal. We where just Gord and Andrew... Friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.

Dear Lisa and family....
I was deeply saddened at hearing that Gordon had passed away, but feel blessed to have met and worked with him.
We met in 1999, when he flew for Flying Colours and then the following year for JMC, over in Newcastle, UK. There was never a dull moment when Gord was on duty...you'd enter the office and think everything was in its place, that was until, you noticed the time on the clock had been changed, the pictures were all upside down, the keyboard and mouse were cello-taped to the desk!! and that was just for starters! but he was always the perfect gentleman and a true professional. The last time I saw him, was when he and Gerrard Campbell, took the last flight from Newcastle to Luton in October 2000....as the plane "pushed back" from stand, he gave me the traditional Gordon salute...of two fingers!! What a star! He will be forever in my memories and you, Lisa, are always in my thoughts.
Hilary (ex CSR/ASR..FCL/JMC Airlines, Newcastle, UK)

As you know, Gord and I go back 40 plus years. When we crossed paths in high school we became best of friends for many years. Gord had dreams and ambitions far beyond his age. Hard to imagine his drive at 15, working as a stock clerk at a Niagara on the Lake grocery store to pay for flying lessons. He would ultimately be rewarded a life time career in aviation for his hard work. He has seen more of the world than most of us can ever imagine, and done more than I could ever dream of. His stories always kept you on the edge of the seat, always wanting to hear more.
