Obituary of Elko Serbina

Serbina, Elko - On Sunday April 9, 2006 at his home in his 96th year in the presence of his loving family. Loving father to his sons Eli of St. Catharines and Wally (Dianne Goldsworthy) of Eyre. Cherished Dido to Christopher, Eli, Luke, Nicholas and will be sadly missed by Jane Pillitterri. Elko will be remembered by his family as a responsible and generous man and the achievement of immigrating to Canada in starting a new way of life. Mr. Serbina is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday April 11 from 7-9pm and Wednesday 9:30-11:30am. Panachyda will take place on Tuesday at 8:30pm. A Funeral Liturgy for Elko will be celebrated on Wednesday April 12, 2006 at 12pm at St. John's Ukranian Catholic Church. Graveside Committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery following the church service. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Society in Elko's honour.
