Obituary of Gerald Michael Turner

Turner, Gerald Michael After a mighty battle with cancer, on 30 March 2006, in his home with his family and loved ones by his side. Beloved husband of Ingrid, loving father of Tanya (Don Jones), Lisa (Jim Marino) and Kimberly (Kenneth Edwards). Cherished grandfather and Papa of Nikita, Natasha, Jessica, Nicole and baby Malarie. Predeceased by his son Mark, his mother Catherine Turner-Beckett, and his brother Gary. Jerry was employed as a senior mechanical engineer at General Motors in St. Catharines, for 42 years. If only our love could have kept him with us longer, but he has gone to his rest with One greater. Until we meet again, he will remain dearly loved, greatly admired and sadly missed. Mr. Turner is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Cathedral of St. Catharine of Alexandria at 10 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers for Jerry will be celebrated in the funeral home on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Donations if desired, to Canadian Cancer Society.
