Obituary of William J. McGinnis

McGinnis Wiliam J. Peacefully, on Monday March 20th, 2006 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at 85 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Catherine McGinnis. Loving father of J. Michael (Catherine) and Peter (Barbara). Cherished grandfather of Christine, Sarah, Leah and Erin. Beloved great grandfather of Emma. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Jennings. Mr. McGinnis was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy and was employed with the St. Catharines Public Utilities Commission for 37 years. Mr. McGinnis is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St until Wednesday at 9:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria at 10am. Cremation to follow. The McGinnis family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:30pm. Memorial remembrances to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
