Obituary of Julian Frank Kania

KANIA JULIAN Peacefully, on Saturday March 11, 2006 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of Richard (Natalie), Stan (Wendy) and Christine (Jeff) Anzil. Cherished Dziadek of Jennifer, Robert, Kaitlyn, Stephanie, Michael and Matthew. Dear brother of Stan of London, ON, John of Toronto, Janina and Mary, both of Poland. Godfather of Andrew and Beata. Predeceased by his brother Marian. Julian will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and a member of the Polish Legion. He was employed with General Motors of Canada for 31 years as a Stationary Engineer, Third Class. Mr. Kania is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St until Wednesday at 11am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 11:30am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7pm. Memorial remembrances to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at both Linhaven Home and St. Catharines General Hospital for their compassion and exemplary care.
