Obituary of Patricia Louise Gallagher

GALLAGHER, Patricia Conway (McNulty) April 29, 1953-December 4, 2005. Patti passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family and friends in St. Catharines. Much cherished mother of Josh, (Kim) and Shauna. Beloved daughter of Gerry & William Hagarty and sister of Kathi and her husband Eli Androschuk. Special Aunt to Bree (Matt), Beth and Zach. Predeceased by her father, Kevin McNulty. Patti's zest for life was infectious to all. Passion for food (and entertainment) describes her personality - whether spicy, saucy, sweet or exotic. Her love of music brought out her radiant smile and enchanting voice. Josh and Shauna were her pride and joy and made her life complete. Kindness and support to both Patti and her family were much appreciated during this difficult journey. The care given by the nurses and staff of St. Catharines General Hospital Palliative Care Unit, CCAC, Dr. Walton, Dr. Hartman, Dr. Zuliani, Ellie Doney and loving friends made it easier to bear. Deepest thanks are given to Patti's "sister friends" who spent months comforting her. Their kindness, warmth, and compassion were amazing gifts freely given. Our immeasurable thanks are given to Jackie Phelan and Dave Burnett, who opened their home and their hearts in an incredible act of generosity. "Jackie and Dave, We can't believe All the love you gave. You were sent by the angels, From high above, To fill Patti's heart With peace and love." Patti is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Funeral will be celebrated in the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Memorial Remembrances for Patti may be made to St. Catharines General Hospital NHS-Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
