Obituary of Bernice Catherine Shepherd
Shepherd- Bernice(nee Savoy) Sim
Peacefully at home, on Monday October 31,2005. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Shepherd (1988) and loving mother of Allister (Aree) Fitsgerald of Vancouver B.C.; David (Marianne) Sim; Karen (Ernie) Liboiron; Donna Vaughan all of St. Catharines, and step daughter Sherie Currie of Niagara Falls. Beloved Nana to 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Donald and Mary Savoy of Renton Washington; Bob and Mary Savoy of Grand Island N.Y. and Neil Savoy of Thorold. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents John and Winnifred Savoy, brother John Savoy,and sisters Constance Colli, Iris Storer and Janet Asher (LeFeuvre). She was a member of St. Julia C.W.L and the Good Times Teddy Bear Club. Bernice's family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton Street St. Catharines on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be held from St. Julia's Roman Catholic Church Glenridge Ave. on Thursday November 3, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Parish prayers will be recited at the funeral home Wednesday at 3 p.m.. If desired memorial donations may be made to Dr. Sandra E. Hartman P.O. Box 243, St. David's ON. L0S 1P0 or to a charity of one's choice.
