Obituary of Mary Beech
Beech, Mary (nee MacFarlane)-
Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Niagara Arms Retirement Home on September 10, 2007, in her 100th year. Mary was born in Scotland but moved to Montreal as a young child. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Holder Joseph Beech (1986). She is also predeceased by her parents, Daniel MacFarlane and Catherine White, and by her brother Bill. Mary is survived by nieces and nephews; among them, Susan Sillery of Toronto and Catherine (Tom) Drummund of Penticton, B.C. Mary's nieces would like to acknowledge the special care given to Mary by her good friend Jackie Messinger. Mrs. Beech is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., until Friday at 9:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian burial will take place at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman St., in St. Catharines on Friday, September 14, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. Rite of Committal to be held following service in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Public visitation will take place on Thursday afternoon from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Vigil prayers to be held in the funeral home at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perpetual Help T.V. Donations, 426 St. Germain Ave., Toronto, Ontario, M5M 1W7.
