Obituary of William Daniel Stock

STOCK, William January 19, 1930-August 24, 2007 Passed away peacefully at the Hotel Dieu-Shaver Rehab on Friday, August 24th at the age of 77. Loving husband of Barbara for 49 years and father to Cheryl Ann (Andrew Short), Karen (Bill) Buckle, Paul (Melanie), Michael (Monica) and David (Donna). Predeceased by his daughter Colleen (Perry) Sacco and sister Daisy Lorenzi. Papa to John, Billy, Jessica, Sharla, Kelsey, Brit and Brianna. Also survived by his brothers in law Carlo Lorenzi, Carl Ward and I.J. Murphy, many nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was employed as a printer at the St. Catharines Standard for 35 years. Bill's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, August 26th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Catholic Church on Monday, August 27th at 11am. In accordance to his wishes, cremation will follow the service. Vigil Prayers will be recited for Bill in the funeral home on Sunday at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Martindale Senior Daycare Program, Alzheimer's Society and the Make a Wish Foundation. The family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to the compassionate and dedicated staff of the Hotel Dieu Shaver Rehab, St. Catharines General Hospital, Martindale Senior Daycare Program at Linhaven, CCAC, Alzheimer's Society and Parkinsons's Society for their support over many years.
