Obituary of Steven Carmelo Valente

Valente, Steven- Born on July 01, 1978, passed away suddenly on August 5, 2007, at his home in St. Catharines, in his 30th year. The only beloved son of Frank and Debbie (nee Poulin) Valente of St. Catharines. Proud and loving big brother to Sabrina (fiancee Steven) Johnston both of St. Catharines. Loving fiancee of Katrina Sevigny (parents Phil and Evelyn). Dear grandson to Cosimo and Teresa (nee Fragameni) Valente and Mr. Martial Poulin of St. Catharines.Loving nephew to Gary Poulin, fiancee and nephew of Elena Valente of Strathroy, Paul Poulin (husband Chris Wilson) of Toronto, Chris and Diane Piercey (nee Poulin) of Toronto, Tammy Neimith of Port Colborne, Lydia Valente of Burlington, Sal Valente of Vancouver, Carmelo and Carmela (nee Valente) Rocca of Sudbury. Steve is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 10:30. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday August 10, 2007, in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 169 St. Paul Crescent, at 11 a.m.. Cremation to follow church service. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m., and Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.. Vigil prayers will take place on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. If desired, contributions to establish a scholarship at Holy Cross Secondary School, in memory of Steven Valente. Donations can be made to Niagara Foundation for Catholic Education. Those who knew Steven will miss him a great deal; those who didn't know him missed out on knowing someone truly special.
