Obituary of Margaret Nora Hubbard

Hubbard, Margaret (nee Williams) Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on August 1, 2007, in her 88th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband George Callaghan Hubbard (1995). Margaret is survived by her four devoted daughters Mary Lou (Michael) Chamberlain, Diane Hubbard, Patricia (Marcel) Landry and Joan (Cess) Boyle. Cherished grandmother of David (Kelly) Chamberlain, Debbie (Perry) Blair, Patrick and Liam Boyle, Michael and Matthew Landry. Special great- grandmother to Maura and Max Blair, and Maddison and Grace Margaret Chamberlain. Dear friend of Dora (Dorio) Stephens, and Viola Fishleigh. Margaret was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Special comare of Nancy Perrotta. Predeceased by first husband Vincent Hubbard (1944), brothers Patrick and John Williams, and sisters Nell Yallop, Catherine Warr, and Gert Phelan. Margaret was a life long resident of St. Catharines. She was proud member of the St. Catharines Pilot Club, and the St. Alfred's Catholic Women's League. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sandra Hartman and nursing staff for their compassion and care. Mrs. Hubbard is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 11 a.m., with cremation to follow. Visiting Hours will take place on Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Sunday at 3 p.m. If desired, expressions of sympathy may be made to Dr. Sandra Hartman for Palliative Care, the Animal Assistance Society, or the charity of one's choice.
