Obituary of Mary Smolak
SMOLAK, Mary
Peacefully and while surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 27th at Upper Canada Lodge in her 101st year.
Predeceased by her husband Paul, son Jim and grandson Alan. Much loved mother to Ted and his wife Stasia, and cherished Babcia to Paula (Rick) Serrao, Laura (Neil) MacDonald, Cathy Hebert and David Smolak. Devoted Great Babcia to Erin, Ryan, Jake, Shauna, Evan and Abbey. Also survived by her sister and other family in Poland.
Mary was an active member of the Polish Legion, Branch 418 Ladies Auxillary and a member of O.L.P.H. Church, and the O.L.P.H. Ladies Auxillary.
Mrs. Smolak is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street until Tuesday, July 31st at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate Street on Tuesday, July 31st at 11am. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday, July 30th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers for Mary will be recited at the funeral home on Monday at 7pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Tender Wishes Foundation or Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
