Coome, Charles RossSuddenly at the St Catharines General Hospital-NHS on Thursday July 19, 2007 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Jane (McKelvey) (2001). Loving father of Sue and Bob Ruttan, John and Theresa and Mary Sheldrick. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Lesley, Laurie, Kristen, Christopher, Chloe, Tricia, David, Rob and great grandchildren Matthew, Nathan, Jaimee, Sean, Thomas, Cole, Curtis, Emily, David and Madison. He was predeceased by brothers Jack, Alfred and Bill. Charles was a flight instructor with the R.C.A.F., branch manager of Canada Life, former president of the St. Catharines Rotary Club, campaigne chair of the United Way, one of the original founders of St. Columba Anglican Church where he served as Warden and was also on the Parish Council. A celebration of Charles's life will be held at St. Columba Anglican Church- 7 St. Columba Drive St. Catharines on Tuesday July 24, 2007 at 11 am. Visitation at the church from 10 until 11 am. Cremation has taken place. If desired memorial donations may be made to United Way of St. Catharines or Rankin Cancer Run.
