Obituary of George Matwijkow

Matwijkow, George- Born in the Ukraine on August 8, 1916, peacefully passed away at Millennium Trail Manor in Niagara Falls, on July 7, 2007 in his 91st year. George will be sadly missed by long and dear friend Tania. Also survived by many family and friends in the Ukraine, Brantford, St. Catharines and in Niagara Falls. Predeceased by his two brothers. A special thanks to all staff and doctors at Millennium Trail Manor, for all their loving care and support over the years. George will also be missed by a special furry friend "Sugar". George's family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. on Tuesday at 2 p.m. A celebration of George's life will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel following visitation at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow, with an inurnment to take place in Niagara Lake Shore Cemetery on Friday 13, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. If desired, donations to the Children of Chronobyl would be appreciated by the family.
