Obituary of Florence Elizabeth White

WHITE, Betty (Child) After a courageous battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully at her residence with her loving family by her side, on July 6, 2007, in her 64th year. Beloved wife and best friend to Charles White. Loving mother to Cheryl (Alex) MacNeil, Allen Nohay, Shelley Rockel and Brad (Pam) Giroux. Loving Nana to Tessa, Krysta, Steven, Samantha, A.J. and Bryce. Loving sister of Eddie (Rose) Child and Joan (Clair) Wilson. Predeceased by her parents Lou and Thelma Child, and by her son Jimmy Nohay. A specal thanks to all of the caring staff from C.C.A.C. and a heartfelt thanks to the palliative care nurses Glenda and Jan from Paramed. Most importantly, thanks to Shelley for her loving devotion and care over the past seven months. Betty's family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Betty's life will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday July 10, 2007, at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow service.
