Obituary of William Alan Douglas

Douglas, William (Cag)- Suddenly after a courageous battle with cancer, Bill passed away surrounded by his loving family June 23, 2007. Dearly loved husband of Isobel and loving and dedicated father to his children Martin and Kristopher. Beloved brother of Alastair, Tom, Malcolm, Ewan and their families all in Scotland. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Betsy Douglas. Loving son-in-law of Catherine (the late Robert) Roger. Loving brother-in-law Doug and Catherine Currie, Robert, Martin, and the late Raymond Roger. Cherished Uncle of Raymond, Blair, Angela and Baby Ashton. Bill will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Scotland. Bill trained as an engineer in Scotland and came to Canada in 1974 where he was employed at Foster Wheeler for the past 33 years. Bill was passionate about playing and coaching soccer, and he enjoyed golfing with his many friends and family. Bill's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton St. on Wednesday 6-9 pm. A celebration of Bill's life will be held in the Calvary Associated Gospel Church, 89 Scott Street, St. Catharines, on Thursday June 28, 2007 at 11 am. Cremation to follow.
