Obituary of Eric WIliam Bonnar

Bonnar, Eric William Suddenly passed away peacefully on June 20, 2007 at 50 years of age. Beloved son of Gerald and Goldie Bonnar of Cape Breton, N.S. Loving brother of Charles (Terry) Bonnar of Port Colborne, Gerald (Jr.) Bonnar of Sydney Mines, Doreen (Joe) Smith of Thunder Bay, Florence (Elmer) Kempt of St. Catharines, Bonita (Dale) Barrie of St. Catharines, Christena (Moe) Bonnar of Sydney Mines, Leonard (Pauline) Bonnar of Sydney Mines, Catharine (Charlie) Leblanc of Welland, Willard (Rosemary) Bonnar of Alder Point, loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Eric was born in Alder Point, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and resided in St. Catharines. Eric was employed for numerous years as a seamen on the Great Lakes and later worked as a constructon worker. Eric will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy without Mass will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. If so desired donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
