Obituary of Edgar (Ted) Greene

Greene Edgar (Ted)- Survived by his loving wife of 66 years Mary Kathleen. Survived by sons Christopher (Sylvia) and Robert , and by daughters Josephine ( Bill, Shannon , Amy ) Lonergan and Patricia ( David ) Griffiths. Dear grandpa of Jodi, Darrin, Stacy, Melissa and Michelle. Great grandfather of Dustin ,Carissa Jacob, Ciara, Matthew and Megan . He is survived by his brother Daniel and sister Violet. Edgar was superintendant for the City of St. Catharines for 33 years.He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24. He was an active member of St. Denis Church and he served in The Merchant Navy in World War 2. Edgar was at Dunkirk and was torpedoed twice while serving his country. A special thank you to Dr. Luce and the nursing staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Mr. Greene is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines . Funeral Liturgy will be held at St Denis Church , 230 Lake Street , on Thursday June 7th at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 6th from 2-4 pm and from 7-9 pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the George Darte Funeral Chapel on Wednesday June 6th at 2:30 pm.. Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.Memorial Donations in Edgars honor may be made to St. Denis Church.
