Dear Sharon and family,
I was saddened to hear of Shirley's passing today. Having known Shirley through her volunteer work at Mainstream- I was blessed to have been able to have known her for many years. Shirley was a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. I will always remember her joy when she told me she would be going to Africa. I was never so excited for someone else as I was that day. Her excitement to be able to help children so far away was so wonderful. Please accept my sympathies. I will remember Shirley's joy, faith and beauty.
Sincerely,
Linda Rupp

I met Shirley about 6 yrs. ago when she was a big part of the New Hope Outreach in Campbellford,ON. She always had a smile and a encouraging word for all. I will miss my sister in Christ. May the Lord be with you all. May his mercy and love be your comfort. Till I see you again my friend in the presence of our Lord.

My dear friend Shirley
You will always hold a special place in my heart Shirley. When we first i felt the peace and the confidence you had in the Lord. I miss your smile and hugs. The many times we sat and talked and shared about how God was moving in our life, we could have sat for hours talking. God has a plan for all of our lives. During the time you were in my life I am so very thankful for your positive words of encouragement. I hope I did the same for you. I miss you Shirley, but I know one day I will see you again.
Thanks for touching my life the way you did.
Love your sister in the Lord

Sisters in the Lord
It didn't seem to matter what church, what event, what cause I was supporting I would see Shirley there. Always a big smile and open arms for a hug. Our lives shared similar paths so we learnt in one of Agnes courses! Strong, courageous lady you were. See you in heaven when I get there. Love your friend Debbie Ash

SISTER'S TORN APART
I wrote this poem years ago and deciated it to my sister's Sharon , Shirley & Darlene Lougheed
SISTER'S TORN APART
Three sister's torn apart, Three families, bleeding from the heart
raised the same way, under the same roof
but when it comes to sisterly love, they show no proof
Since they were little they learned to fight
Each one claiming , that she is right
Raised with religion but could hardly tell
Especially the way they fight and yell
Never showing respect for one and another
Except when in company of others
Because of this they barely spoke
And it goes unchanged week to week
Yet they teach their children to forgive and forget
In their own hearts that is something they have not met
How long before they realize their both wrong,
How long before one of them is gone
The lessons learned from their examples
Life's too short for jealously to be ample
I can see your sweet smile, every where I look
Your close enough to feel, but too far to hold
You're slipping away from me
Like the sand on the shore,
I want to see you, to hug you once more , to tell you I loved you....
The pictures on the wall are just memories
But these feelings I have are so real
My heart is crying out to you
WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO NOW???????
ONE TEAR
I close my eyes and see your face
Your smile is warm. just like your hugs
As I peer into your eyes
I can't help but wonder
What it would of been like
Had we had more time.
Now your miles away, in heaven
And as I watch the sun rise
I realize that I am alone
As much as the pain is growing inside of me
I can never again tell you,
How much it hurts not having you around
I'll miss you forever,
But I won't let it show
I must stride ahead alone
And as I do,
I shall only cry one tear
One tear for YOU
I love you Shirley
Gone but not forgotten, FOREVER LOVED
I must go ahead alone,

My sister
My sister what can i say about my sister. Its not what i can say its where do i start. My sister reminds me of my mother. She would allways have a large smile on her face while asking u what can i help u with today. As my mother my sister never turned her back when someone needed help.when she laughed u laugh with her. When she cryed u cryed with her.I love my whole family and she was a big part of that. She made me very proud to be her brother. She gave with all her heart.I will carry u with me the rest of my days .I love u sis.

love you like a mother
Shirley, when you came into my life i wasn't ready for a mother figure, but you were still there when i needed you. You helped me through all the awkward stages of becoming an adult, and I never had a chance to tell you what you mean to me.
When i hear your name, the first thing that comes to mind is, I love my step mom.
Rest in peace, we will all miss you
