Obituary of Leandre Joseph Cloutier

Cloutier Leandre(Leo) Joseph (June 25, 1926 - March 8th, 2007) It is with great sorrow that the family of Leandre J. Cloutier announces his passing , at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 81st year. Leo was a well-loved , personable, amiable gentleman who will be missed by many. Leo was recently predeceased by his wife, Dorothy, of 60 years, in August of 2006. Loving father of his two children Lynn Kuck (Terry) and Greg (Lena). Experiencing the loss of a wonderful grandfather are his four grandchildren, Terry Kuck (Robynn) and Cody, Kasey and Tyler Cloutier. He will be sadly missed by sister-in-law and brother-in-law Teresa and Lou Goulet of Welland, Ontario, who supported him until the end. Also survived by sister Helen Alary of Ottawa, brother Rene (Rita) Cloutier also of Ottawa, sister Fernande Martineau of Sherbrooke Quebec and sister Pauline Fournier of Quebec. "Uncle" Leo will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Leo passed away with many treasured memories of his former friends and co-workers of General Motors where he worked as a pipe-fitter for over 25 years. After retirement Leo kindled many friendships as an active member of the West St. Catharine's Seniors and Dunlop Drive Seniors Club. He also enjoyed many hours as a Friend of Morningstar Mill. As per Leandre's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in honour of his life on Tuesday March, 13th, 2007 at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. at 11am. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations can be made to the Diabetes Foundation or a charity of your choice.
