Obituary of Lorenz Riss

Riss, Lorenz - On Tuesday March 6, 2007, we said goodbye to a wonderful man in his 74th year. Husband to Elisabeth for 49 years and proud father of Larry, Karen Cherubini (Mark) , Sandra Kingma (Rick), Linda Riss (Russ James) and Dennis. Cherished Opa to Andrew, Laura, Sharon, Kevin, Christina and Christopher. Brother of George (Helen) and Magdelena Meding of Germany. Lorenz was an employee of General Motors for 27 years until his retirement in 1990, when his main focus became the family farm in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Lorenz is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street until Saturday at 4pm. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Lorenz's life will be celebrated in the George Darte Funeral Chapel at 4:30pm. Visiting hours are from 2-4pm. Inurnment will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy , memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Lorenz's honour.
