Obituary of Mary Zahorchak

ZAHORCHAK, Mary After a lengthy illness, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 4, 2007 at the Linhaven Home for the Aged in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her husband Albert (1967) and son Edward (1992). Beloved mother of James and grandmother of Rick. Also survived by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a member of St. Julia's Church and the Canadian Slovak League, Branch 31. Mary is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines until Wednesday morning at 9:30am . Funeral Liturgy at St. Julia's Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 7th at 10 am. Visiting hours on Tuesday, March 6th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers for Mary on Tuesday at 3pm and there will be Slovak Prayers on Tuesday evening at 7:30pm. In accordance to her wishes, cremation will follow the service with inurnment at a later date at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the wonderful staff of Linhaven for their many years of support.
