Obituary of Cecil Stanley Cameron
CAMERON CECIL STANLEY Peacefullly, with his wife by his side, Cec passed away at the St Catharines General Hospital, on Friday February 23, 2007, after a long battle with complications following surgery. Cec was born in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton. He moved to St. Catharines after the war and was employed with General Motors until retirement. During the war Cec served with the Anti Tank Artillery, then as a dispatcher. He is predeceased by his wife Josie, step daughter Adaline and sister Violet MacNeil of Cape Breton. Cec was a loyal member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 350 Port Dalhousie. Cec will be sadly missed by his wife Vera, her five children Peggy, Cathy, Laura, Dennis, Tom, 7 grand children and 2 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his son in law Mike, step son Earl and his wife Mary Jane, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Cec is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. where a service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday at 1pm.Cremation to follow. Visiting hours are Sunday 7-9 and Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers,memorial remembrances to the Royal Canadian Legion brick fund or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
