Obituary of William John Edge

EDGE, Wm. John Passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS after a short but brave battle with cancer at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Joyce. Much loved father of Dawn Toth (Jim) and Patti LaBelle (Glen) and stepfather of Martin McKinnon, Lynn Catalano (Henry), Cathy Mitchell (Jim), Susan McKinnon, Glen McCutcheon and Stephen McCutcheon (Gwen). He will be missed by his 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and by his sisters Joyce Moore of Stayner, Ontario and Dorothy Ralph of Sardis, B.C. Predeceased by his sister Joan Rabley and his brother Wilfred (Buddy). He worked for 40 years on the Canadian National Railway (MacMillan Yard, Mimico, Oakville and 277 Front Street). John was also a golfing nut which turned into a passion for fishing with Henry. John's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, February, 18th from 2-4pm. A funeral service to celebrate his life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 4pm. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
