Obituary of Elizabeth Eaton

Eaton, Elizabeth (Betty) After a courageous struggle surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Hamilton General Hospital at 76 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Donald, loving mother of Kandi (Terry) of St. Catharines, Joan (Don) of Ancaster, precious grandmother of Jason and Brooklin, dear sister of the late Doug (Shirley), the late Jeanette and Joe, Tommy (Mary), Ed (Dolores), Mary (Ken), the late Danny (Karen), Jackie (John), the late Joyce, Josie (Dwight), Patricia, Darlene (Dave) also 31 nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was a proud member of the C.A.A. Retirees Association and actively worked as a Dog Groomer for over 20 years. She treasured her Wednesday night friends and enjoyed playing cards and travelling. Elizabeth is resting at George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. where family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held in the chapel on Sunday at 4 p.m. with cremation to follow. Memorial Remembrances to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Catharines General Hospital and also Dr. Jichici, the I.C.U. and Trauma Team at the Hamilton General Hospital for your warmth and compassion for our Mother.
