Obituary of Leon Kowalski

KOWALSKI, Leon- Peacefully passed away on Monday January 15, 2007, at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of 59 years to his wife Mary (Tarczewska). Loving father of Jane Kowalski of Toronto and Czeslawa "Sue" (Eric) Bolton of Calgary. Cherrished father-in-law to Tadeusz Wojciechowski of Mississauga. Brother-in-law of Eustachy (Bernice) Tarczewski of St. Catharines.. Loving grandfather of Claire and Kathryn Bolton of Calgary. Predeceased by his daughter Stasia Wojciechowski. Also survived by relatives and family in Poland. Leon was a member of the Royal Polish Canadian Legion. Mr. Kowalski is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 9:30 am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10:00 am. Rite of Committal in Assumption Cemetery in Mississauga. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday January 17, 2007 at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prays will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. If desired donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung Association.
