Garvie (McKenty), Joan (nee: Deadman)
Sadly passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS on December 13, 2006 in her 68th year. Beloved mother of Joanne (Alan) Fowler of Niagara Falls, Michelle (David) Pugh of Thorold, Sharron (Steve) Foster of St. Catharines. Loving grandmother of Tarra (Greg) Jastrzebski, Mallory, Tyler, Christopher, Dean, and Jena and great-grandmother of Adrianna. Survived by her sister Shirley Csonto and her brother Jim (Nancy) Deadman all of Woodstock. Survived by Allan Garvie and William McKenty. Predeceased by her sister Muriel Klein of Red Oak, Virginia and both her parents David and Jean Deadman. Joan was a life time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 350. Joan will be sadly missed by her faithful friend, Teoh.
Joan's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton Street on Thursday, December 14, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Joan's life will be held in the George Darte Funeral Chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. If desired donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
