Obituary of Iolanda Marino
MARINO IOLANDA Peacefully on Thursday December 7th, 2006 at Extendicare Home,at 84 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Domenico. Loving mother of Nick and Rita, Mauro and Dora. Cherished Nonna of Josi and Mario Visocchi, Lawrence and Nichole Marino, Nico and Joya Marino, Lia and Louie Stranges, Marco and fiancee Maryann and five great granchildren Carla, Stephanie, Matthew, Ava and Ella. Also survived by two sisters in Italy Maria and Anna, and Giovanna of Australia. Iolanda is predeceased by her parents Michele and Regina Marino, brother Giuseppe and sister Emilia. Iolanda will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Iolanda retired from the Hotel Dieu Hospital after 21years.
Iolanda is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Tuesday at 9am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 9:30am. Entombment in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. Visiting hours are Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 3pm.Memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
