Legere, Arthur Roderick
After a long and courageous battle with Leukemia at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS, on Saturday December 2, 2006 in his 80th year. Best friend and companion of Marie Laskey and loving father of Dee Bradley (Jamie Almas) of St. Catharines. Dear Papa of Abby Bradley of St. Catharines, Pearson Almas of St. Catharines, Chanda, Tino and Christian Giancola of Thorold and Cory and Casandra Werner of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Fondly remembered by Kirk Oling of St. Catharines and Robert (Sue) Oling of Huntsville. Dear brother of Ben (Anne) Legere of Novia Scotia and Evard (Ethel) Legere of Toronto. Arthur worked as a driver for the former Quebec and Ontario Paper which is now the Abitibi Consolidated. He was a devoted member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Many thanks to Dr. Samosh and nurse Mugs, and all the "Gals" who got to know Art during his transfusions, and to the Palliative Care Staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Art's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton Street Wednesday December 6, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held in Joggins, Nova Scotia at a later date. If desired memorial donations may be made to the St. Catharines General Hospital, Oncology Unit.
