Obituary of Emily Hoyle

HOYLE EMILY Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday December 1, 2006 at the Niagara on the Lake Hospital, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late John, loving mother of Bruce, Janis (Michael) Mirynech, and Joanne (John) Mirynech, mother in law of Sandy. Beloved Nana of Lisa, Kristen, Kathryn, Breanna, James, David and Heather. Emily was born and raised on a farm in Hafford Saskatchewan, one of seven children. She put herself through nursing school, and in 1949 she moved to Toronto where she met her husband John. They had three children there, and in 1972, they moved here and made St. Catharines their home. Emily will be remembered for her dedication and love for her family, as well as her generosity to friends, community and church . A memorial mass will be celebrated in Star of the Sea Church on Friday at 11:00am. The family will receive family and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 3 pm. Memorial remembrances to The Arthritis Society or Dr. Sandra Hartman Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to express sincere heartfelt thanks for the dedicated and compassionate care provided by Dr. Peter Fernandez, the exceptional nursing staff at NOTL Hospital, Dr. Sandra Hartman and Dr. Kiley O'Neill.
