Obituary of Mary Doszczyn

DOSZCZYN MARY (Maria) Passed away suddenly, on Tuesday October 31st, 2006 in her 84th year. Cherished wife of Roman, mother of Pat (Mark) Shields and Zenko (Martha) Diszczyn. Proud Babcia of Anthony Ray (Lisa), Nadia, Robert and Orest. Mary was taken from her Ukrainian homeland and came to Canada to start a new life and a new family. Our mother's strength and determination marked by years of hard work, self-sacrifice and perseverance, truly expressed her ever lasting love and devotion to her family. Mary's sharp tongue disguised her friendly spirit, smile and gentleness . Her hugs and kisses will be cherished while her perohy and borscht will be missed always. Friends may call at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St on Thursday, November 2, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Panakhyda will be at 7:30pm. Pohoron will be celebrated at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 14 Rolls Ave. (Niagara St. and Vine St.) on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 10am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers , the family requests donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital, New Building Fund or to Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church. Many thanks to the staff of the Progressive Care Unit at the Niagara Health Services (Queenston St.) for their attentive and gentle care of our spouse, mother and grandmother. Vichnaya Pamiat!
