Obituary of John Jankiv

Jankiv, John - Peacefully passed away at Upper Canada Lodge in Niagara-on-the -Lake, Ontario, on October 16, 2006 with his loving family by his side in his 69th year. He will be remembered forever with love by his wife Stella and dog Maxx. He was extremely loved and respected by his son Dan (Carolyn) and his daughter Donna. He was also adored by his grandchildren Josh, Eli, Jenny, Brandon, Jake, Joey and Emma. John will be missed by his sisters Helen and Irene. Predeceased by his sister Annie (1992). John was an inspiration with his hard work, wisdom and sense of humour. John is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate St. at 11am. Cremation to follow the service. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers at the funeral home Wednesday at 8pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation in John's honour.
