Balinski, Bronislaw "Bruno"
Departed this world gazing lovingly into the eyes of his wife of 55 years, Emilia, on Wednesday, October 11, 2006. Beloved father of Elizabeth (David) Fisk, Alexander (Christine) Balinski, John (Ingrid) Balinski, loving Dziadziu of Derek, Graham and Gavin Fisk. One of ten children Bronislaw is survived by Helen, Anna and Vacwalwa. Bruno was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church since 1953. A member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Polish Branch 418 and a retiree of Ontario Paper Company Ltd., Thorold, Ont. A Veteran of the Second World War Bronislaw received the highest honour accorded a member of the British Eight Army, the Virtuti Militari-Class V.
Bruno is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting Hours Saturday 2-4 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Sunday at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
