Obituary of Frances Allen Martin

Martin, Frances A. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 20th after a courageous ten year struggle with cancer. Wife and best friend of Edward, loving mother of Rob (Michele) and Susan (Darren), proud and devoted grandmother of Henry, John, Isaac, Griffin and Maya and dearly loved sister of Nancy of Burlington and Gwen (Ray) of Vancouver. The family's heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Schultz, Dr. Giesbrecht and Dr. Hartman and ParaMed nurses Jan, Glenda and Bev for their wonderful care and compassion. Fran's family will receive visitors at George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., on Saturday, September 23 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. A gathering of Fran's friends will take place at the Grantham Optimist Hall at 188 Linwell Road (behind the fire station) on Monday, September 25th from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Sunshine Dream for Kids or Niagara Children's Centre would be appreciated by the family.
