Obituary of Veronica Govan

Govan, Veronica (Roni) Peacefully, on Wednesday September 20th, 2006 at the Tufford Nursing Home, at 97years of age. Loving wife of the late Francis Steele (1956) and the late Thomas Govan (1991). Beloved mother of Joanne Roth, Ronald Steele & his wife Margaret, Catherine & her husband Fred Buchal. Dear Grandma of 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Elizabeth Anderson of London. Predeceased by her son Gerald and his wife Micheline. Mrs. Govan is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 11am. Rite of committall in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. Visiting hours are Sunday 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers for Mrs. Govan will be held int he funeral home on Sunday at 7 p.m. Memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
