Obituary of Lily Cane

Cane, Lily - On Monday September 18, 2006 at home with her caring family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Shurley (1995) for over 45 years. Loving mother to Pat of Fonthill, Lynn Deakin (Keith) of St. Catharines. Cherished Nana to Jeff and Brad and Gran to Darlene, Donna and Ken. Survived by her step-son David of Barrie and step-daughter Sherry of Amherst, Nova Scotia. Also survived by her brothers Bert Rumsby of Stoney Creek, George Rumsby (Pat) of St. Cathrines and Doris Greenough of St. Catharines and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Charlie, Peter and sister Vera. Mrs. Cane is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 10:30am. A Celebration of Lily's life will be held at 11am in the George Darte Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow the chapel service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association of Ontario in Lily's honour.
