Obituary of Frank Zgonc

ZGONC Frank Following a brave and dignified struggle, Frank found peace, at home with his family at his side on Sunday September 4, 2006 at 94 years of age. Frank leaves behind his loving and dedicated wife of 64 years, Pauline (nee: Kolenc). He is survived by his chosen daughter, Debbie (Gary Chambers), his grand daughters Jessica and Lauren (Michael Cornies) He will be greatly missed by his great grand son William Cornies. Frank is also survived by sisters Annie, Angela in Yugoslavia, sisters in law Annie (David Selan), Mary (Bill Dekleva), many nieces, nephews and friends. Frank was predeceased by his brother Ralph, sisters Mary, Frances and Christina. Frank, along with his wife, was owner and operator of Community Grocery in Port Dalhousie. He was loyal to his customers for many years. He was also a long time member of Star of the Sea Parish. Frank is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St until Friday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Star of the Sea Church at 11am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 7-9pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the fuenral home on Thursday at 3:30pm. Memorial remembrances to Star of the Sea Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
