Obituary of Agnes English

ENGLISH Agnes (Dunne) On Friday August 25, 2006 ,at the St. Catharines General Hospital after a brief illness, with her loving family by her side, in her 86th year. Loving wife and best friend of ther late Patrick (2004) for 61 years. Dear mother of Gordon (Gail) of Fonthill and Cathy Whitmore of Barrie. Proud grandmother of Michael, Amy (fiance Fraser), and David (fiance Crystal) English. Dear sister of Gertrude (Lorne) Farrell, sister in law of Irene Dunne. Predeceased by her brothers Joseph and John (Kay) Dunne. Agnes will be forever remembered and sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and all those whose lives she touched. Agnes was born and raised in Montreal. After marrying Patrick, she shared 33 years of Air Force life and later was very active with cottage life on Eagle Lake, knitting for craft shows, square daincing bowling, gardening, playing bridge as well as lots of travelling. Agnes will be resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL 585 Carlton St. until Wednesday morning at 10:30 . Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 9:30am to 10:30am. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday. A Funeral Liturgy to celebrate Agnes's life will take place on Wednesday at 11 am in St. Denis Church. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If so desired, memorial remembrances can be made to the the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice
