Obituary of Maria Takoy

TAKOY, Maria March 3, 1909-August 15, 2006 After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease, Maria passed away on Tuesday, August 15th, 2006 at the Meadows of Dorchester in her 98th year. Survived by her loving family Jaroslaw Petriv and Jerry Fed. Predeceased by her husband Mukola Takoy and her two sisters. Maria's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, August 17th from 2-4pm and 6:30-9pm. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church on Friday, August 18th at 11am. Rite of Committal Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Panachyda at the funeral home on Thursday at 7pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
