Obituary of Libera Nicholina Portanova

Portanova Libera Nicolina (nee: Farinacci) Peacefully on Sunday August 13, 2006 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at 82 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Nicola (1979) Loving sister of Gabriel (Frances), Benny , Angelo (Lil) sister in laws Jean and Roberta. Stepmother of Pierina (Jerry)Rainone and grandaughter Tiziana of New York. Lily will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by her brother Michael. Lily is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St until Wednesday at 9am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Catholic Church at 9:30am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3pm. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
