Obituary of Roberta Johnston-Maitland

Johnston-Maitland, Roberta E. (Jessome) Peacefully, after a very brave and and long illness, with her family by her side at the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, July 24, 2006. Peggy was in her 43rd year. Wife of David Maitland, loving mother of Melissa, Matthew (Sarah) and Bryan all of St. Catharines, special Gramma of Wade. Cherished daughter of Peggy Jessome (Norm Geddes) of St. Catharines and Bob Jessome of Emsdale. Fondly remembered by her brothers Mike (Lynda) Taylor of Toronto, Clayton (Heather) Jessome of Grimsby, Al (Judy) Jessome, Darrell (Emmy) Jessome and Bob (Arlene) Jessome all of St. Catharines and her sisters Terry Whiteside of Guelph and Patty (Al) Green of St. Catharines. Predeceased by her brother Wade Jessome (November 1992). Friends may call at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Liturgy without Mass will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
