Obituary of Zenon Onyskow

ONYSKOW ZENON On Tuesday July 11, 2006, at the St. Catharines General Hopsital, at 82 years of age. Beloved husband of Mary for 53 years. Loving father of Mark and Christine. Cherished Dziadzi of Jennifer Lyn and Matthew Mark. Survived by his sister Ann (John) Pollack. Zenon will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Zenon is predeceased by his parents Emilia (1969), Michael (1976) and his sister Irene Shinn (1982). He was employed by General Motors of Canada, as an overhead crane operator for 39 years, retiring in 1988. Zenon will be missed by his coffee companions, who met each morning at the coffee shop. He was a loving family man who will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, kindness and willingness to help everyone. Zenon was an avid 10 pin bowler for many years. Zenon is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St until Friday at 12:30pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Denis Church at 1pm. Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 3:30pmMemorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
