Obituary of Beverly Mary Ann Polecrone

Polecrone, Beverly Mary Ann (Woodcock) - Though her laugh is gone forever, and her hand we cannot touch, still we have so many memories of the one we loved so much. Your memory is our keepsake with which we will never part; God has you in his keeping - we have you in our hearts. After a valiant struggle with ovarian cancer, Bev passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Friday June 30, 2006. She leaves to mourn, her devoted husband of 49 years, Peter, and her much loved children Craig and Tanya, Pam and Dave, Geoff and Christine. She was the proud and devoted Grandma of Taylor and Brooke Polecrone, Tyler and Ryan Polecrone, and her miracle baby Aaron Chassie. She was the dear sister of Beryl (Hugh) Smith of Fonthill and Bill Woodcock of Prince George, B.C. She will be sadly missed by her many friends, especially her nieces and nephews. Her willingness to try a variety of treatments was indicative of how much she cherished life. Her positive attitude and good nature throughout her battle leaves an impression on all of us of how the human spirit survives. Because of her ability to smile until the end, her family and friends have an understanding that her spirit is alive and well in all of us. According to Bev's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Tuesday July 4th, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A service to celebrate Bev's life will be held in Welland Ave. United Church (corner of Welland Ave. and Henry Sts) on Wednesday July 5th, at 2pm. A private family inurnment will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In loving memory of Bev if so desired you may make a donation to Wellspring Niagara.
