Obituary of William Louis Thomas

THOMAS, William ( "Bill")- Passed away on Monday, October 20th, 2008 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 80. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton on January 9th, 1928. Beloved husband of Audrey. Dear father of Mike (Shirley), Francis ( Barb), Blaise( Shelley),Anne (Bill) Torrance, Lilli (Bill) Triantos, Lowell ( Stacey), Barb ( Larry) Said and Joe (Sherry) Morgan. Loving Papa of 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his son Joe Allen Thomas and his daughter Kim Thomas- DeGuire. He will be missed by his siblings Peter, Mark, Lizzie, Gloria and Jimmy. Bill was the Past President of Maritime Club. He retired from Hayes Dana in 1989. A loving, caring, gentle man with a big smile who loved his family and always had a twoonie for the grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. As part of Bill's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
