Obituary of Robert (Bob) Poynton Lindsay

LINDSAY ROBERT (BOB) Passed away peacefully, on Tuesday September 23, 2008, at the Hotel Dieu Shaver , in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Joyce for 58 years. Loving father of Nancy Rose Rumsby and R. George (Jane) Lindsay. Cherished Baba of Ian (Lesley), Matthew, Robert and Shannon. Dear brother of Anne Wenzel. Predeceased by his sister Rosemarie Hopf. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his family and many friends. Bob was proprietor of Lindsay Rubber Products for 32 years, where he enjoyed many conversations with family, business associates and friends. The family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at Scottlea Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 11am. Memorial remembrances to Scottlea Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
