Obituary of Edgar Uhl

UHL, Edgar- Our family is deeply saddened to announce Ed's passing suddenly at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Friday, August 15, 2008 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Olga for 49 loving years. Cherished father of Katherine, Edward (Kirsten), Brian and Deborah. Dear Papa of Alex, Samantha, Jillian and Matthew. Dear brother of Kurt (Deanna), Ben and Hilda (Bill). Predeceased by his brother George. Devoted Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Ed was President of Thorold Welding and was extremely energetic and a well respected businessman with countless friends and associates. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered. Edgar is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St.. Public visitation will be held on Monday, August 18, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.. A celebration of Ed's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at 12:30 p.m.. Cremation to follow service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
