Obituary of Francis Arthur Hargreave

HARGREAVE FRANCIS ARTHUR (Art) Peacefully, on Friday August 8, 2008, at the St Catharines General Hospital, at 83 years of age. Beloved husband of Edna for 59 years. Loving father of Meassa (Terry) O'Connor. Cherished Papa of Matthew (Jessica), Kelly, Shannon and Maggie. Dear brother of Mary McKay. Predeceased by his sons Robert and John. Francis was employed by the Receiver General as an Auditor for 33 years. He was a member of St. Alfred's Church, the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 24, the Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus and Port Dalhousie and Niagara Falls Lawn Bowling Clubs. Francis is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 11 am. Rite of Committal in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 3 pm. Memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
